Our sports program is community oriented and developed to provide an opportunity for youngsters, regardless of ability to play, learn, and enjoy each sport. Adults participating in our program are encouraged to maintain this perspective in order to achieve our mutual objective, kids learning to play sports and enjoying the experience. YCC’s earliest members maintained a magnificent cricket ground in the middle of Yokohama Park and made this available to other sports clubs in the fledgling port city.

The Prime Minister of Japan announced tonight the “State of Emergency” once again which will be effective January 8th Friday. In line with the government policy to stay home especially after 8 pm, our Club operations starting tomorrow will be as the following:

Alcohol will be served only between 11 am and 7 pm (Last Order 6:30 pm)

Yokohama Cricket Club (YCC), YC&AC is Japan’s oldest sports and social club.

YCC’s earliest members maintained a magnificent cricket ground in the middle of Yokohama Park and made this available to other sports clubs in the fledgling port city. In 1884, YCC members voted to absorb the Yokohama Football (rugby), Athletics, Baseball and Tennis Clubs to form the multi-sport YC&AC as we know it today.

In 1912 YC&AC moved to its present location in Yamate, an expansive hilltop sanctuary just 45 minutes by car from Tokyo (Shibuya). Here the Club continues to offer the same rich sporting and social experience of days gone by, in a safe, family-friendly, international environment.

Students will learn about the rules and gameplay of each sport. Each day will end with a mini scrimmage to bring together all they have learned.
